On the other hand, the less drying it is, the less it stains and the less it stays on. There's a sticky film/gloss with this one that prevents your lips from cracking and splitting, but the lasting power isn't that good. A couple sips of water or a bite of a sandwich, and it's basically gone. Even on my hand, it doesn't leave a very noticeable stain, although it leaves a stain. Definitely don't expect this tint to last all day if you're not planning to reapply after meals...or skip meals.

Looking at the picture, I expected more of a muted, warm magenta color, but it turned out more pink? Of course, like most other tints, the stain it leaves behind is red/pink. However, I was surprised when the first very thin layer I put on looked pink. I think it's because the base is pink that the muted purple only shows up with thicker layers. I bought this color because I didn't want my lips to be bright pink, but that's sort of how it turned out with the gradient using this color.

I think the reason this color turned out pinker than I had thought because it's more "pure"? I don't know if it makes sense, but there's no white base to make the color less concentrated, so it's basically pink/red mixed with dark purple to make it darker. However this doesn't make it necessarily very muted. The color is still very concentrated but darker, so it doesn't turn out as light as in the picture. Maybe if you started out with fully concealed lips, it would turn out lighter. Or if you have naturally very pale lips.

Overall, not a bad product. Does what it's supposed to. I do wish this color was lighter, though.
