I bought Airy Ink Velvet #2 and #5 after a very long wait. Immediately after launching, the reviews were very confusing as half hated it and the other half loved it. Many people also said how #5’s color was much pinker than what was advertised. But I’m glad I bought it anyway because now they’re my go-to lip products now!
Texture
They’re really airy and powdery for real, I don’t feel like there’s anything on my lips. It doesn’t moisturize my dry lips (it’s not a lipbalm anyway) as some people experienced, but not as drying as other tints. I could wear it as is and will feel my lips a bit drying by the first hour, but that can be solved by using lipbalm on top.
Longevity
When I do gradient lips, they do great for at least 5-7 hours with eating and drinking. If I do full application, they definitely last longer, around 9 hours.
Tint
Wish they tint as much as other Peripera lines, but they don’t, especially if you do gradient lip. But it still does have enough tint in it to give a little color at the end of the day.
Color
#2 is a good coral option. Can be used as bright or as soft as I want. Great for summer.
#5 is not as dusty pink as shown in the ads when worn. It’s more pinkish than I imagine, but I think it’d be great for spring/early fall.
Conclusion
Great for people like me who doesn’t like the feeling of lipstick/gloss on my lips. Love how easy I can do gradient application with the doe applicator too, though I still love applying them with my fingers better. Last long enough for daily use when dong gradient application, and last even longer when I do full application for special days.
